Historical Diving Society USA -  Was created to preserve, study, and promote our diving heritage. The HDS also maintains a database of historical divers called The Divers Index. We welcome inquiries about diving ancestors or former colleagues who worked in underwater or allied occupations. 

International Underwater Spearfishing Association - Their mission is to promote ethical, safe and sportsmanlike spearfishing practices, to encourage and support a sense of environmental responsibility among divers, to establish uniform regulations for the compilation of world spearfishing records, to provide basic spearfishing guidelines for use in other spearfishing activities, and to participate in educational and scientific programs.

Lake Champlain Maritime Museum - Located in Vergennes, Vermont. The canal-schooner Troy of Westport, New Products York disappeared in a gale November 1825. Five young men and boys perished and were never seen again. Arthur Cohn, Director of The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum of Basin Harbor, Vermont announced at the first annual Westport NY Heritage Festival, August 12th, that the Troy had been located. The announcement was made from the site of the Halstead House, home of the boys and the first building in Westport.

Mel Fisher's Treasure Hunting Exhibit -  The site features the fabulous treasure of the Atocha, Santa Margarita, and other amazing shipwrecks discovered by Mel Fisher, the "world's greatest treasure hunter."

Ocean Planet Online - This exhibit premiered at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History from April 1995 to April 1996, where it attracted nearly two million visitors. This electronic online companion exhibition contains all of the text and most of the panel designs and images found in the traveling exhibition.

The Institute of Diving - An independent, voluntary, educational, non-profit corporation that operates the Museum of Man in the Sea in Panama City Beach, Florida. Activities of the Institute of Diving include the operation of The Museum of Man in the Sea- opened in 1982, a library, and publication of a New Productssletter which addresses all forms of diving in a professionally understandable manner. An information exchange matches questions to specific resources about all aspects of diving.
