Latex Surgical Tubing versus Silicone Tubing?

Latex Surgical tubing comes in Black or Amber. There is no difference in the properties of colors —only your personal preference.
Silicone tubing has a better deterioration rate than surgical tubing but is surpassed by latex surgical tubing in elasticity, flexibility and gripping power.
Latex surgical tubing is flexible in sub zero temperatures, maintains memory after repeated stretching and has tremendous holding strength.
Elasticity - If you stretch 12 inches of silicone tubing, then release it, you will have 12+ or more inches of silicone. Not so with Latex Surgical Tubing; it will maintain its original length.
This fact will result in you having to replace your silicone tubing more often. Since silicone tubing is much more expensive than latex surgical tubing. Well, you get the idea!

If you do not state that you need one continuous length of surgical tubing, you may get random lengths (2x5ft or 4,4 & 2 ft lengths).
Please let us know if you need one continuous length in the “Comments Section” located where you “Check Out”.
We usually do NOT have 50 ft continuous lengths of any size unless you see it listed below.
Some lengths might have a ± 3".Please check the “Continuous Lengths Available” column below.
If you do not see the continuous length you need, please call us at 1-800-633-4837 or 1-757-436-7664 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
At checkout, you can change the quantity by inserting a decimal point and a number between 1 and 9. For example: an order for 35 feet would read 3.5 in the quantity column. 15 feet would be 1.5.
